Over the rainbow cupcakes

In all honesty the design is not my idea. I saw the design on pinterest, where I saw 2 slightly different examples of the idea and I thought it was really sweet. So I gave it a go and made sure to tweek the design with my own style. So I picked more pastel colours than the brighter colours in an original example.

I also made  sure I made the clouds nice and fluffy with a very fun looking nozzle.
And of course there has to be gold at the end of the rainbow, so there had to be gold stars involved.

Cupcakes in the sunset

I haven't made these cupcakes for any particular occasion, just for my husband to take to work tomorrow. I also wanted to use my new blue/red/white sugar dragees on something! These cupcakes are just vanilla sponge, my special raspberry buttercream and a piped chocolate decoration. Just as I had finished decorating them and photographed them for this blog and facebook page (facebook.com/BeccaKnightCakes
than sun decided to set ever so nicely and provided me with some lovely light.

Blossom birthday cake

This was Ellie's order- a chocolate celebration cake and 50 chocolate cake pops. It was surprising how quickly the 50 cake pops disappeared around the kids!

Cars cakes and coffee

These were the Disney's Cars cupcakes I made for an order on Friday. He was seeing his niece and nephew after their birthdays and wanted to take them something extra special. I have made hand painted white chocolate decorations before but not Cars, but I liked the challenge. These were chocolate cupcakes,
vanilla buttercream, gold stars and white chocolate Disney Cars decorations. It was an extremely busy long day, with delivering the 65th birthday cake, making, decorating and delivering the cupcakes before heading off early on Friday for a jubilee weekend with family. I certainly needed a coffee and didn't really have time for one!

Wild thing at 65!

This was the light fruit cake I made for a 65th birthday request. I was told that it was for family members including grand-children so I adapted the recipe to make sure it was really light so the kids could enjoy it (as I know a fruit cake isn't usually a child's favourite). I made the flowers in advance and then brought them together and made and decorated the cake all in one day.

The flowers are a wild flower collection made up of bess roses, daisies, forget-me-nots, and the pink flower is based upon a doris pink.
